Turnaround: Prevented bankruptcy of a $90 million private company as acting COO by identifying and resolving supply chain deficiencies which improved customer service deliveries from 40% to 95%. He also lead the task force that successfully avoided the probable loss of 30% of a $600 million company's annual revenues by identifying and implementing critical operational changes to resolve a major retailer's (Wal*Mart) customer supply issues, which resulted in a 60% to 95% improvement in on-time deliveries. Operations: Improved inventory turns 100%, on time deliveries to 98%, reduced cost of goods 5% per year, and directed all multi plant operations of a $50 million OTC drug and vitamin company as President and CEO. Saved $13 million per year developing and implementing a cost improvement program as VP of Cost Improvement for a major health products company. Saved $7 million annually by justifying, designing and constructing a new prescription drug repackaging facility, and doubled inventory turns as VP of Manufacturing of a major drugstore company. Provided manufacturing operations and plant construction technical support to a major drug company's worldwide affiliates as VP of International Manufacturing. New businesses: Increased annual sales 25% ($10 million) by negotiating unique bilateral agreements with major customers as President and CEO of an OTC drug and vitamin company. Start-up: Brought in first year startup costs 20% below budget, with a successful 3 month startup schedule, as COO of a Chinese WOFE company, by selecting and supervising a USA startup team to train Chinese personnel in the manufacture and packaging of ten new products for the Chinese market. Plant Design and Construction: Successfully delivered a new 635,000 square foot, $30 million dollar pharmaceutical tablet manufacturing, packaging, and distribution facility three months ahead of schedule, on budget, as VP of Engineering for an OTC pharmaceuticals company. He also designed this facility. He also successfully negotiated a shortened construction schedule with no increase to the original budget of a 40,000 square foot tablet and powder nutritional manufacturing and packaging facility in Suzhou, P.R.C. for a Joint Venture company between Herbalife, Inc. and an OTC pharmaceuticals company. He designed this facility and managed its construction as well. |
